T-Bones

I usually don't let him take George places, only when he's sick or having a bad day.  He's a bedtime/story monkey only.  I snuck him in the backpack to the game and this was his reaction when I pulled it out.  Have you ever seen anything like it?  He was ecstatic.  Charlie is always a hit at the game, but everyone was just laughing at Charlie and his George.  He does this every morning too, points to his monkey, say's 'Geeowege', gives him a squeeze and a kiss like he's saying bye for the day.

After the game, they let the kids run the bases.  I wasn't sure if he was going to get it, but he ran and jumped on every base!

These were a lot cuter in person, just picture Charlie doing his little toddler waddle/strut

All Things that Go

Is there anything cuter than a child sitting engrossed in a book?  A hand-me-down gift from his cousin, this is Charlie's favorite book.  It's a search and find book filled with planes, trains, cars, boats; all things that he adores.  He could stare at it's pages for hours...

Hi Grandma!

Grandma & Grandpa McAuley has an amazing way of finding things.  I told them I was on the look out for a wagon.  Surprise! Surprise!  Not only did she find one- she found the one I wanted.  The best one- a Radio Flyer.  Matt immediately hijacked it for gardening.  Well yesterday, the weather finally cooled down (slightly) and I stole it back!  Charlie and I hosed it down and cleaned it up.  We scooted around the backyard and even went and walked on the street for a bit.  He had fun climbing on it and putting the seats up...down...up...down when we were done.

Charlie's 1st birthday party with the Divine's

Charlie turns one on June 30th but since we were with my parents and sister, we threw a little party for him

Lucy made the cake that Grandma Margaret always made for the Huber kids when they were little- Angel food cake with chocolate cream frosting

Surprise Surprise, fat kid likes cake!

Gift from Aunt Melinda

Gift from Grandma and Grandpa Divine- he was much more interested in the ribbon

I can't believe there isn't a picture of it but Dad gave Charlie his mechanical playground and Tinkertoys that he played with as a kid.  These tinker toys were the ones dad and Bob played with.  He wrote a really nice note with them.  It was a great gift!!

Activity Board

We love the simple design of this homemade activity board. Lots of things to explore and a great way to put those fine motor skills to work.
