First Dentist Appointment

Played hookie from work and picked up my best little man and had a lunch date

Every time I think, 'oh, this isn't going to go well' Charlie exceeds my expectations.  He did awesome and let them poke and prod his teeth and even let them polish!  I couldn't believe it.  He is also way more into brushing since we went.  Doesn't hurt that the DH Theresa is seriously the awesomest lady ever.  She's the reason we go there

On an unrelated note. Stupid blurry iphone pictures.  Look what a little man my baby is turning into

Pat's Retirement

Well, this was about 3 weeks ago, but as you can tell, I've been awesome at blogging lately

We went bowling with the whole fam, the lighting was terrible, I took a bunch of pictures, none of which turned out very well

Yes, please take my picture

Headed over to Sheila's for dinner

spaz

All the kids chipped in and got him an ipad, new toy for his retirement

night of the scowl for me I guess

Pat worked hard his whole life for this family, it was so nice to have a night to honor him.  Pat, you are the best!

Outdoor Pallet Patio Table

On a side note- did you see we changed the direction on our fence?  Small change, big impact- I love it, can't wait to keep going

Matt's already busy filling it with bird houses and feeders
He's also building planter boxes for it

What's that detail?  A little house number!  He's so cute
Started with a large oak pallet- used cottonwood 4x4's for the legs - all free

Big help Charlie

Matt sketching what he has in mind- I'm sold

We used old fence for the top made of cedar- again, free

Belt sanded all edges and corners

We still need to make a bench for the other side, but it's pretty much done

Time for brewski's!
