Colorado

Charlie's first flight.  I think the security freaked him out a bit, doesn't help that TSA didn't like my breast milk and gave me a full pat down in front of him (and made me throw away the whole thing, including one of my better bottles because their machine didn't like it)
They let him into the cockpit.  I had a giant bag, a baby and 12 other things, so it was stressful waiting for him, but I'm glad he got to do it.  Maggie was a champ again, no tears on the way there.  We had a nice neighbor and I was cheered on by several different people with 'good job mom!' and 'you're doing great!' Whew....

We finally got into Colorado Springs and got to relax.  Charlie was immediately in heaven- legos, video games, other boys to play with???

We headed out.  Rachel's house is minutes away from Garden of the Gods.  Richard was a CHAMP and took all the boys together including taking them off on a Cub Scouts hiking trip so the girls could have some time.

I've been best friends with this girl since 9th grade, love her to death.  It was a short weekend but we had such a blast.  Her family is lovely, her house is lovely, can't wait to go back!

Colorado....

On the way to the airport...worn out

The way back was great.  We had just a 2x2 so we got our own little row.  I was finally able to breastfeed on the plane and Charlie got a window seat.

No tears the whole flight UNTIL WE LANDED and then she just wailed.  It was great though, normally you have to wait for each row to file out but the waters just PARTED.  Get the crying baby off!!

Cereal

I'm pretty sure I have this exact picture of Charlie

It's funny how much you forget how this all works. Trying to remember why they get so messy.  Oh yeah, they have no idea how to open their mouth for food, or swallow, so everything you can trick into getting in their mouth, have gets pushed out with their tongue because babies....

We're only doing a little bit of cereal at dinner time.  She wasn't sure at first, but squacks when she doesn't get it.

Elise comes to visit

Lauren had a soccer game in KC so while the Hubbards were out at games all weekend, Elise came to stay with us!

She just finished her babysitting certification class and was eager to try out all her skills
She picked out her outifits, dressed her, changed her diapers, helped with bath time, it was awesome!!

My goal was to wear them out! (for free!) We took a walk....

Explored Bass Pro

Maggie did this the whole time...

Then we walked around the entire lake to the playground and played there for a while

THEN, handily enough...we were invited to a birthday party at a water park (perfect!)

We had a great time and I even got Elise to watch Encino Man with me after I poured Charlie in bed (she loved it)
