We headed down to Arkansas for a one night stay. I've been dying to go the Crystal Bridges museum forever and we just rented an airbnb and went. It was a great trip, and under 3 hours to get there!
Enassamishhinjiijweian (2009), a tour-de-force landscape by Tom Uttech. (Yes, I had to cut and copy that from the webiste) This thing blew me away. I could have stared at it for days
One of the best parts is that the outside is just as cool and full of art as the inside. It was chilly and rainy, I would have liked to do more, but we got some out in some of it.
Also, it's Arkansas, so it's just covered in natural beauty.
My favorite part is watching what my kids are drawn to,
Crystal Bridges has all sorts of interactive stuff for kids, which is just amazing.
She called it 'Elsa's Castle'
Thomas Hart Benton - oh, my heart

SWOOOOOOON
We broke the rules and snuck onto the grounds to check out the Mildred B Cooper chapel. Wish we could have gone in!
They have easy trails around the chapel too
My children....
Sunday we did the Tanyard Creek nature trail. I'm a sucker for a clear river and a good waterfall. It was so fun, the kids loved it, and the trail was easy enough for Maggie.
