About Mollie D

Hello Friend

Mollie D was a nickname given to me by a Heath boy, a long time family friend.  One of about 12 nicknames he gave me.  Based on my maiden name, I don't get to hear it very often anymore.  It makes me smile to see it here.

I was born and raised outside Minneapolis, Minnesota. I moved to Lawrence to go to the University of Kansas when I was 18 and moved to Kansas City in 2000.  I did a short stint back in Lawrence, but met met my husband in 2005, and the rest is history.  I'm here in Kansas City, but will probably always feel like a Minnesotan at heart. 

Right after I started blogging in 2008, I got engaged and this turned into a wedding blog.  Then I got pregnant and it turned into a pregnancy blog.  Now I am a mom and this blog has come to be mostly about my kids.  This is basically their baby book.  I've stripped it down and now it's basically for my family's personal use.  You are more than welcome to look,  but be prepared for more pictures than you probably care to see of the cutest, orneriest kids you ever did see.

My favorite color is green

I'm a total NPR junkie

My favorite dessert is fruit pizza or anything with coconut or almonds

I have a weakness for old timey cowboy yodeling

I live on massive amounts of iced tea - unsweetened

Like a good Minnesotan, my favorite store is Target, of course.

I'm a gold, not a silver person.  

I prefer the COLD, I hate the heat.

My favorite thing to do is to sit around the fire pit or go to a T-Bones game.
