Rest of August

Scott and Courtney come for a visit and Charlie spends most of the weekend showing off for laughts

Where are you John Hunter?

The day they left, I had TWO kids birthday parties to go to.  It was brutal.  Good thing I have understanding friends that supplied me with plenty of water

Couldn't miss our little Levi's 1st Birthday

Jen, Elise and I have become good friends from church and we all had babies within a couple of months of eachother.  I can't wait to see these besties grow up together.

Herding cats....

Lauren comes down for another soccer tournament!

First little ponytail!

If I'm at the sink, Maggie is trying to bud herself in.  If she doesn't fit, she's SHOVE her way in.

Charlie meets Frank White at the T-Bones Game

I got free tickets from work. It was a school night and it was way up first base, so we debated going, but I'm so glad we did.  We were right next to the dugout, right in front of first base where Frank White is the first base coach.  Charlie doesn't really know who he is, but after years of going to T-Bones games and seeing the whole place flip out over him, he was pretty excited.  And we were in the second row, right where the mascot and promo people enter the field between innings, so Sizzler was right by us most of the game.

The guys in front of us must be season ticket holders, Frank was talking to them on and off throughout the night.  When Frank saw Charlie starry eyed, I told him that he was a big fan.  Later on, Frank brought over Charlie a ball.

I was late with my camera, as usual.

It ended up being one of the best games we've ever been to.  We just love going out to these games.

Total Eclipse

It poured all morning, we were afraid we were going to miss it.  We drove up to Kearny to Laura's house.
But we found the sun!

Starting to go!

Christina and Maggie

Taken through the eclipse glasses

It was a little party with Eric, Weslee, Caroline, and a few others from church

Camera didn't take it well, but this was totality

Totality.  It was SO COOL.  I'm so glad I took the day off work and went all out.  Totally worth it.

Capitalism!

And then sat in 2 hours of traffic to get home

Wall of storms on the way home

Poor Maggie was starving so I handed her a applesauce pouch against my better judgement.  It was everywhere, all over her shirt, in her hair, all over the car seat....
